Great, except they’re playing Washington, quite possibly the wort team in the league. And then there are those two teams in uncharted waters this week, both playing sides who have exceeded expectations perhaps with smoke and mirrors.

• We don’t see how the Texans, who may be 0-3-1 SU but have an average margin of loss of just 6.0 points, are getting 7 at Jacksonville. Also the Cowboys getting 5 at the Los Angeles Rams, who are keeping opponents in games by dint of lack of run game.
• Surprisingly tantalizing line of the week: That over/under 46 points in the Lions-Patriots game. NFLbets’ll likely bet this one, we’re just not entirely sure which way…
• Five of the 16 games feature home underdogs; are we crazy for thinking Jets +3 is not a terrible bet…?
