NFL betting – Point spreads, over/unders for week 7 – odds, lines, payouts
In week 6, underdogs went a healthy 6-8 Against the Spread (ATS) so maybe in the short-term back some easy favorites … if there are any. Perhaps best to bet unders, with oddsmakers still befuddled on the new defenses and old quarterbacks in the 2022 NFL season: Unders are a stunning 57-36-1 thus far, including a 10-4 showing last week.
Below then, for your consideration, are the over/unders for the 14 week 7 NFL games – also includes lesser betting markets, like point spreads…
New Orleans Saints +1½ at Arizona Cardinals, over/under 44½ points
Cleveland Browns +7 at Baltimore Ravens, O/U 45½
Indianapolis Colts +2½ at Tennessee Titans, O/U 42½
Tampa Bay Buccaneers -11 at Carolina Panthers, O/U 40½
Atlanta Falcons +6½ at Cincinnati Bengals, O/U 47½
Detroit Lions +7 at Dallas Cowboys, O/U 49
Green Bay Packers -5½ at Washington Commanders, O/U 41½
New York Giants +3 at Jacksonville Jaguars, O/U 42½
Houston Texans +7 at Las Vegas Raiders, O/U 45½
New York Jets +1 at Denver Broncos, O/U 38½
Kansas City Chiefs -3 at San Francisco 49ers, O/U 48½
Seattle Seahawks +6½ at Los Angeles Chargers, O/U 51
Pittsburgh Steelers +7 at Miami Dolphins, O/U 44½
Chicago Bears +9 at New England Patriots, O/U 40
NFLbets’ hot(tish) takes:
NFLbets lost Moneys betting against the 5-0 ATS Falcons last week, and we’re going to lose money bet against the 6-0 ATS Falcons this week. This is getting ridiculous…
Regression to the mean must happen, to be sure, but look at some of these over/under lines: 49 points for the Cowboys/Lions? 51 for Seahawks/Chargers? Where do the oddsmaers imagine these points are coming from in a season when 48½ points in Chiefs/49ers seems outrageous…
Finally, if you’re betting the Jets/Steelers game, watch a highly volatile point spread there. Prior to the Monday Night Football game, the line read Jets +2, which descended to a “Pick ‘’em” on Tuesday and back to Jets +1 on Wednesday afternoon. Talk about your tough bets: Do you believe more that the Jets are a 5-3 team or that these Steelers can win back-to-back games?
