Don’t even get NFLbets started on the Pick Five NFL Betting Contest this season. Suffice to say that NFLbets ends up winning money on actual bets nearly every week but consistently goes 2-3 on these weekly tickets. Whatever – it’s just a shame that we’ll have to make a $1 million this NFL season betting week-to-week…
On the week 7 “Pick Five” NFL betting contest card, NFLbets has:
Dallas Cowboys -7 vs Detroit Lions. Sure, the Lions were a cute story on Hard Knocks and it was great fun watching them run up 35 points per game through four weeks. But like Bill Belichick to apply a cold slap of reality to the reality tv heroes while reminds us all of what Jared Goff looks like under pressure – and the Cowboys defense is at least a degree better than the Patriots’…
Cincinnati Bengals -6 vs Atlanta Falcons. NFLbets can no longer be rational about the now 3-3 SU/6-0 ATS Falcons. Why? The last team to whip off six straight ATS wins to start the season was the 2007 New England Patriots – but they were 6-0 SU and were covering point spreads of 14½ and more! This is a bet on the Bengals to end this season’s scourge.
New York Jets +2 at Denver Broncos. Got this line early, as the ’spread has bounced like a wet noodle from Jets +2 to “Pick ‘Em” to Jets +1 and back to “Pick ‘Em.” With the Jets trending up and the Broncos trending down like a graveyard spiral, NFLbets will take any number of points here…
Seattle Seahawks +6½ at Los Angeles Chargers. A slightly dangerous pick here, as somehow the sportsbooks have been pretty dead-on with both of these teams: the Chargers are 4-2 ATS, the Seahawks 3-3, while over/unders are deadlocked in all 12 games involving either team. NFLbets is just thinking that nearly a touchdown is too much to give to the better coach with this much disparity in that area.
New England Patriots -8 vs Chicago Bears. See above re: coaches, then factor in the Bears as the NFL’s second-lowest scoring offense and a defense that’s been facing the run all season yet still allows 162.0 yards per game against breakout RB Rhamondre Stevenson. So, yeah. Patriots minus any points here.
