NFLbets’ hot(tish) takes:
Like most NFL bettors, NFLbets loves wagering on Thanksgiving Day all out of proportion to the games’ excellence, but this year appears to offer the best of both worlds: Some great betting opportunities and a couple of close games. (Were pretty sure the Cowboys’ll blow out the Giants, though).
In week 11, the Baltimore Ravens were the sole double-digit favorite and lost ATS, bringing the record of favorites of 10½ points or more to 2-7 ATS on the season. This week, those tricky oddsmakers set three ’spreads at 9½, while the Chiefs are giving two touchdowns to the Los Angeles Rams, the dictionary definition of “hapless.” Make it easy, why don’tcha?
Last week, NFLbets got militant about betting against the Titans, then on a 7-0 ATS run; we lost and Mike Vrabel’s guys moved to a history-threatening 8-0. This week, the Bengals are favored against them by … just 2? Time to take out a second mortgage…
